First Trade-Show! Calm Before the Storm

Woo hoo!!

First Trade-show! (kinda...)

I recently participated in the Calm Before the Storm fundraiser for the Windermere Foundation. The Windermere Foundation is a great organization dedicated to supporting low-income and homeless families in our communities. It's an honor helping raise funds for this event, if you're interested in more information about the foundation, please click here: http://www.windermere.com/foundation

I was a Boutique Shop at the event and we took several days to prepare...including creating a mock-up of the table and adding velcro to my images for hanging! Great tip for any trade-show peeps out there...if you're displaying photos: print the photos on a thicker mat (so they're nice and sturdy) and use velcro to hang them on your display wall! It works like a charm and is easy for both set-up and tear-down.

Photos are all matted with velcro on the back to hold in place. Super handy and easy!

TIP: Take a lot of photos during your mock set-up. This greatly helps your actual set-up at the event.

To set the Calm Before the Storm scene for you, it was set up a bit more like a trade-show, under a seemingly large tent (but it's actually a solid structure) with a big luncheon as the focal point for attendees.

This was a great opportunity for me to meet people, make introductions and build some new relationships!

Since it was on the smaller scale, I actually got a chance to talk with people - and that was my favorite part!

I hosted a "Brightly Insta-Challenge" where people could enter to win an Anthropologie Gift Card by getting their photo taken!

Winner announced this weekend on my Instagram account @BrightlyandCompany !!!

All in all, I would say this first "trade-show" was a success! It was so much fun meeting so many wonderful people. If you're reading my blog for the first time, click here to learn a little bit more about what I do: http://www.brightlyandco.com/starthere
