Brand Design for Patty Brockman

Brand Design has so many benefits for an independent business owner. Especially those in a saturated market. It helps differentiate your business, it helps make you more memorable and it helps give you an authentic look that others just can't possess (because it's custom made for you!).

This is why I like to work with one client at a time. Not only do I love getting to know your business and helping you with marketing tips and branding...but my favorite part is getting to know the person behind the business. I believe that brand design should be representative of your story.

 

 

Recently, I had the opportunity to work with Patty Brockman while I was an Administrative Assistant at a Real Estate brokerage. She always impressed me with her casual professionalism. She wasn't stuffy, she was laid back and fun, but when she entered the room you also knew she meant business. (yeah girl!)

Patty Brockman is a strong woman (in so many ways). She's a leader in her industry and she thinks to ask the questions that many don't because of her own coaching background. 

Just to name a few amazing things about Patty...let me start by saying this: She's amazing to work with. I LOVED working with Patty and creating her brand. She deserves a little gushing for how much she gives and loves others. 

Reasons why Patty Brockman is amazing:

  • She knows how to ask questions (i.e. she helps coach you through the process)
  • She's a marathon runner, so you know you're working with someone who has extreme discipline and perseverance.
  • She's participated and trained for the IRONMAN Triathlon. (umm... 'nuff said).
  • She's a new grandma! (just wait till you see her photos, she doesn't look old enough to be a Grandma yet, but the grandbaby sure is cute...just sayin').
  • She tells it like it is, but she also cares deeply. (One of my favorite qualities about Patty).

Inspiration/Mood Board:

 

When you sign up to work with me, you're truly signing up for some "work". The very first thing I send you is homework. haha! It's a big 'ol Branding Questionnaire that helps us both understand where you want your business to be, who your target audience is and what your business values (i.e. purpose) is. I like to ask for 10 adjectives to describe your business/brand and some of Patty's were: Professional, Respectful, Intelligent and Down to Earth.

We decided to stick to a color palette that was soft, welcoming, professional and down to earth. This also has a real calming effect, which is perfect since Patty is calm under pressure.



 

Logo Concepts:

 

After we curated her inspiration board and color scheme, it was time for the first logo concepts. It was very clear that simple, clean and classic were needed to here to provide that professional look, but it was really important to me to keep it casual and not too stuffy. This matches Patty's personality and her Brand Design needs to tell her story.

Brand Style Display Board:

 

After going over the concepts, Patty had a clear favorite and I narrowed it down from there providing her with secondary logos she could use on her marketing materials. 

This is the final Brand Display Board. It shows all of the graphic elements for a Brand in one place. That way Patty could take a look, see how everything fit together and approve it as a whole unit.

It's important that all of your Brand Design elements work together as a cohesive unit.

Branding Photos:

 

Patty's Branding Photo session was held in this gorgeous home. Since she's in Real Estate, it was extremely important we found a great home to take photos in. Patty just so happened to have an awesome client at the time who generously open their home to us for the photo session. 

I can't even tell you how much I love these photos!

My fully Brand Design + Photography package includes a complete Branding Photos suite. You'll notice in these photos that I provided with stock imagery as well as more personable. It's crucial to also give yourself A LOT of photos for marketing...because people truly want to know about YOU. They want to work with a person, especially one they can relate to, and Branding Photos accomplishes this goal. It's one of the most important things you can do for your business (yes, more important than brand design). :)

Business Essentials:

 

In the Real Estate industry it's all about the people and frankly making it as easy as possible on them. Real Estate is a very stressful job, there are a lot of ups and downs and twists and turns. I think one stat said it's the 3rd most important decision of your life. 

Patty has the tenacity and know-how to take this on. Even just as I was working with her and learning her processes, I felt so impressed by how she takes care of her clients. 

She wanted a more streamlined process for her clients, that looked cohesive. She wanted to give them a physical Client Packet, that even just by holding it could feel more confident in her ability to help them. So we did just that, we created for a Buyer Packet and a Seller Packet. We also created a customizable Property Flyer Template, that was unique to Patty and her new Brand.

Brand & Marketing Guide

 

This is something I create for all of my Brand Design clients. It's an entire guidebook full of your Brand Design elements and how to use them. In addition, I offer a marketing plan inside of this guidebook. The way I see it is this, Brand Design, Branding and Marketing are the wholly trinity when cultivating a Brand. They are all separate elements, but in order to grow your business, they must all work together. Because of this, I provide every client I work with a basic marketing plan to help them get started. This is on top of the coaching and training they receive from me throughout our month of working together.
