It all starts with a moment, “Oh, you too? I thought I was the only one!” - C.S. Lewis
The power of community is something I’m still always learning about. But with a little extra effort on my part, I can see the importance and genuine need for community in our lives.
I thought I was the only one who knew what I was going through. I didn’t think that others would understand and I doubted that anyone would support me. I mean, it’s a competitive world out there. Why would anyone help me along when they have their own business to run and make successful?
If I’m being honest, I’m a hermit by nature. I love my alone time. I frankly need my alone time to recoup - any introverts reading this who know what I’m talking about?? BUT - I love being active too and I need social interactions to get me motivated. I like meeting people and I LOVE encouraging others.
If that’s how I feel, there has to be others who feel the same way right?
So I started seeking out groups on Facebook to build a little community. Some of you may already know this, but I certainly didn’t…holy-schnikes-facebook-groups! There are so many and though not all of them were great for me, I found several that I really connected with and also discovered a new love for Facebook again. (We had recently split up).
Facebook groups began to change the game in my business. I was able to connect with like minded people, ask question, get advice and support. In these groups I heard inspiring stories that motivated me to do more and empathized with people’s struggles, because I had experienced the same thing.
I learned new tips and tricks and programs to use to further my business along and the best part? I connected with others looking for my services as well!
Facebook groups literally brought me in business as well as ALL of the other things I mentioned above...
Facebook groups were a great way to kick my business to the next level.

You know the old saying of, it takes a village to raise a child? Well I believe it takes a community to raise a business.
So stop being on the outside looking in, join in community and start upping your game. :) You will find it’s not only worth it, but necessary.
After I discovered the incredible community and power of Facebook groups I saw a huge growth in my business. I felt a shift in the way I approached my business, that was much more community inspired and left me feeling less overwhelmed and more understood.
I’ve connected with several people, in person from these groups and made new business friends that I am beyond thankful for. And I made a big decision, I reconciled with Facebook, and decided to start my own Facebook group. It fits me perfectly to encourage others and build a community for us to interact and support one another. SO, I created...
